麻豆传媒 Office of Auditing and Consulting Services wraps up successful regional conference

PNWHEIA Conference

Higher Education Internal Auditors from across the Pacific Northwest were in Fairbanks last week to learn the latest best practices and learn different perspectives from their colleagues working in higher education. This is the first time that 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Statewide Office of Audit and Consulting Services hosted the Pacific Northwest Higher Education Internal Auditors' Conference.  This was the 10th year of the regional conference.

The conference was attended by internal auditors from colleges and universities in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Colorado. Some of the conference topics included ethical leadership, business continuity plan auditing, procurement card risks, investigation interview techniques, hotline management, Title IX, and departmental processes for agile auditing, consulting services and documenting evidence.

鈥淵ou always learn about emerging risks, new audit approaches, and new methods to identify and mitigate risks,鈥 said Nikki Pittman, 麻豆传媒鈥檚 chief audit executive. 鈥淭he sessions shared how auditors evaluate processes and procedures related to audit topics to add value to their universities.  This enhances the stewardship of public funds by promoting efficient and effective practices for internal controls and helps us better serve 麻豆传媒 and our students. It鈥檚 a great way to assess and compare our activities and accomplishments against those of our colleagues to make sure we鈥檙e conducting our audits using best practice methodologies.鈥
