Statewide celebrates staff longevity awards
Â鶹´«Ã½ Interim President Pat Pitney, and Statewide Administration Assembly President Lauren Hartman led a celebration last week recognizing statewide staff members who have served the university for longer than five years. For the first (and one could hope only) time, the event was held virtually. More than 150 Statewide staff joined the Zoom to recognize and celebrate their co-workers for their service milestones.
Nine staff were recognized for five years of service:
- Nicole Chambers;
- Carson Davis;
- Dan Filemyr;
- Kyrstin Floodeen;
- Lauren Hartman;
- Terri Schimmack;
- Michelle Schmidt;
- Diane Slusher;
- and Marcie Stavich.
Four were recognized for 10 years of service:
- Will Finley;
- Geoff Jacobs;
- Candice Krupa;
- and Lauralee Samalot.
Seven were recognized for 15 years of service.
- Douglas Knight;
- Buffy Kuiper;
- Connie Malatek;
- James D. Milburn;
- Steve Mullins;
- Peggy Santana;
- and Becky Telling.
Three were recognized for 20 years:
- Bonnie Carroll;
- Tanya Hollis;
- and Geri Rabbage.
And one, Michael Grahek, was recognized for 30 years.
Each year Statewide staff have the opportunity to nominate outstanding employees and departments to recognize efforts that go above and beyond a person's duties. Jim Wolverton was recognized as this year’s Outstanding Non-exempt Employee. Geoff Jacobs was recognized as this year’s Outstanding Exempt Employee and OIT Networking and Telecommunications was recognized as this year’s Outstanding Department.
Congratulations to all honorees and we want to thank them for their hard work on behalf of the Â鶹´«Ã½. Thanks to everyone who came out to show their support and to everyone who helped organize such a wonderful virtual awards event.
