May 27, 2022
Â鶹´«Ã½ Chief Financial Officer Myron Dosch will be leaving at the end of June, after 27 years of dedicated service, to accept a position outside the university system.
Myron began his university career in 1995 as the Â鶹´«Ã½ Foundation accounting manager; in 1999, he accepted the position of Financial Accounting Manager for the university system with responsibility for preparation of audited financial statements; and in 2006 he became the controller for the university system.
Myron has served as the Â鶹´«Ã½ system’s chief financial officer since 2016.
Myron earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from Gonzaga University in 1990, and in 2002 earned an M.B.A. with an emphasis in capital markets from the Â鶹´«Ã½ Fairbanks. He is a certified public accountant, and member of the Alaska Society of Certified Public Accountants.
During his tenure, Myron has provided steady, highly-respected leadership, managing highs and lows in investment earnings, year-over-year budget reductions, changing federal laws, modifications to our credit rating, new private-public partnerships, major investments in infrastructure and a constantly changing economic landscape, and through it all calmly managed change.
We would like to thank Myron for his nearly three decades of dedicated service to the university and wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors.
