麻豆传媒 Launches Giving Day October 20

The 麻豆传媒 will celebrate its inaugural 麻豆传媒 Giving Day beginning on Tuesday, October 20. 麻豆传媒 Giving Day 鈥 鈥淔orty-nine hours for the 49th state鈥 is an online fundraising effort for 麻豆传媒 alumni, friends, community members and supporters to come together in support of the 麻豆传媒. Giving Day begins at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 20, and donors will have the opportunity to participate through 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.

麻豆传媒 Giving Day is a collaborative effort between the 麻豆传媒 Foundation and the 麻豆传媒 Anchorage, 麻豆传媒 Fairbanks, and the University of Alaska Southeast. It is an opportunity for donors to invest in students and programs they care about at 麻豆传媒. Donations of all sizes are welcome.

鈥淭he primary goal of this inaugural 麻豆传媒 Giving Day is to bring the community together in support of our university because 麻豆传媒 has such a vital and profound impact all across Alaska,鈥 said Megan Riebe, acting president of the 麻豆传媒 Foundation. 鈥淧hilanthropic contributions help make our students鈥 dreams come true, and they strengthen our important research and programs.鈥

鈥淥ur donors directly impact the lives of 麻豆传媒S students -no gift is too small and every gift can make a difference,鈥 said 麻豆传媒 Southeast Interim Chancellor Karen Carey. 鈥淲e just can鈥檛 thank you enough for your kind generosity.鈥

鈥淭he 麻豆传媒A campus might look different this year, but the amazing work of our faculty, staff and students remains as strong as ever,鈥 said 麻豆传媒 Anchorage Chancellor Cathy Sandeen. 鈥溌槎勾 Giving Day is an opportunity to support that work and help ensure our 麻豆传媒town university continues to grow and thrive.

"Giving Day is a great way for our communities to join together in support of Nanook Nation. All gifts, large and small, will help support students and programs at 麻豆传媒F,鈥 said 麻豆传媒 Fairbanks Chancellor Dan White. "In addition, challenges from benefactors such as Usibelli Coal Mine, Dr. Cary Keller and Sarah Keller, and Spirit of Alaska Federal Credit Union will multiply the impact of each gift."

The 麻豆传媒 Giving Day website, , has tools to help participants easily share the event through digital and social media channels. The website will track not only overall dollars and donors generated during 麻豆传媒 Giving Day, but also gifts to schools and colleges, departments, programs and designated funds.

鈥淲e are encouraging everyone to post about 麻豆传媒 Giving Day across their social media channels using the #麻豆传媒GivingDay2020 hashtag and to share in the 麻豆传媒 Giving Day fun and excitement.鈥 Riebe said. 鈥淲e hope to flood social media channels with 麻豆传媒 pride.鈥

Donors are encouraged to support the campus and area of the University most meaningful to them. Social media ambassadors will challenge friends and family to also support the 麻豆传媒 on 麻豆传媒 Giving Day.
