Northrim Bank makes a major investment in
麻豆传媒鈥檚 three universities

ANCHORAGE, AK - A major, long-time supporter of the 麻豆传媒 system, Northrim Bank, has gifted $259,500 to fund 麻豆传媒 initiatives that advance research about Alaska鈥檚 economy and fiscal policy, expand business education and build entrepreneurship capacity. Northrim鈥檚 donation also includes funding to five community campuses where Northrim employees live and work. 

 鈥淲e are so grateful,鈥 said 麻豆传媒 President Pat Pitney. 鈥淣orthrim Bank鈥檚 30 years of partnership with the 麻豆传媒 system represents a cumulative $4.8 million investment in business education that touches each of our universities. Private philanthropy is essential for the 麻豆传媒 system to meet its mission, and Northrim鈥檚 strategic generosity has yielded educational excellence, scholarships, and opportunities for students to study while staying close to home.鈥

Programs and campuses receiving support are: 

  • 麻豆传媒S Department of Business and Public Administration 鈥 Support for student enrollment, accreditation and the HR Leaders of Tomorrow student conference ($52,500)

  • 麻豆传媒F College of Business and Security Management 鈥 General support for high-quality business education ($50,000)

  • 麻豆传媒A Small Business Development Center - Support for advising and education for entrepreneurs to start or grow their small business ($50,000)

  • 麻豆传媒A Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) 鈥 To continue modeling Alaska鈥檚 economy and studying state fiscal policy ($50,000)

  • 麻豆传媒A Business Enterprise Institute, Alaska Manufacturing Extension Partnership Center 鈥 A statewide initiative to advance small and medium-sized manufacturers in Alaska ($20,000)

  • 麻豆传媒A College of Business and Public Policy Excellence in Leadership - Developing future Anchorage and Alaska leaders through the Tom Case Leadership Fellows program ($12,000)

  • 麻豆传媒A College of Business and Public Policy 鈥 Support to inspire entrepreneurship, innovation and economic development through the Alaska Business Plan Competition ($5,000)

  • 麻豆传媒 community campus initiatives: 

    • Sitka Campus, 麻豆传媒S ($5,000)

    • Ketchikan Campus, 麻豆传媒S ($5,000)

    • Kodiak College, 麻豆传媒A ($5,000)

    • Mat-Su College, 麻豆传媒A ($5,000)

    • Kenai Peninsula College, 麻豆传媒A ($5,000)
