Supervising for Success Training Series
A new training series on effective employee management and supervisor responsibilities from Â鶹´«Ã½ Human Resources begins in November. Other topics include an overview of policies and regulations, workplace safety and accommodation, basic compensation, recruitment and retention, conflict resolution, performance management, and professional development.
There are three modules, each scheduled for one and a half hours. Detailed information is available in the .
Completed training will be recorded in the attendee’s myÂ鶹´«Ã½ employee services dashboard training record. For more information and to sign up for each module please follow the links below. The modules will be offered virtually by Zoom, which also includes a call-in option for those with limited internet connectivity.
Please sign up no later than two days before the selected training date so we can make sure everyone has the training information and materials.

Performance Management Training and Conversation Coaching
Â鶹´«Ã½ staff and supervisors are encouraged to begin the staff performance evaluation process. Performance evaluations are designed to engage supervisors and employees about performance expectations and to provide coaching and support to align with both individual and departmental goals in concert with the Â鶹´«Ã½ mission.
There are two options for completing performance reviews. The first option is to use the myÂ鶹´«Ã½ dashboard performance review. As an alternative to myÂ鶹´«Ã½, supervisors can complete paper or PDF performance reviews. Some departments currently have standard evaluation forms. Human Resources has also provided a performance appraisal form (PDF).
The Â鶹´«Ã½ Human Resources team is providing Performance Management Tool and Best Practices learning sessions. Labor and employee engagement specialist Kelley Lassey will be facilitating several sessions from November 2020 tp June 2021. Please register through the myÂ鶹´«Ã½ employee services dashboard learning library to attend training via Zoom and to receive credit for the training. Training information will be sent to registrants two days prior to each training date.
