New Pages and Navigation Options in Â鶹´«Ã½Online this June

June 7, 2024

The first Â鶹´«Ã½Online changes are coming this month: Throughout 2024 and 2025, Â鶹´«Ã½Online will be updated with a new look and feel. Among the first changes that users will notice starting in late June will be to the main menu and site navigation, as well as the addition of some new pages, including the new My Profile dashboard.

What is changing in the menu? When you log in to the upgraded Â鶹´«Ã½Online, the menu will be slightly different. The upgrade is mobile-friendly, and has a more modern, intuitive, and accessible interface than what is used today. The new menu will reflect the different roles that an individual may have within Â鶹´«Ã½.

  • For example, students who want to search classes or register will now click on the "Student" tab at the top of the page or the "Student" link in the menu; employees the "Employee" tab or link, and so forth.

The big picture: This is only the first change to the main menu. It will undergo additional updates and format changes as additional functions transition into the upgraded platform.

What is not changing? While the look and feel may change,  will remain your primary platform for interacting with the University, whether submitting timesheets, registering for classes, or performing other tasks you currently handle on Â鶹´«Ã½Online.

How will it work? Users will be able to navigate using the tabs across the top to access new functions such as the My Profile and Employee Dashboard, as well as the current student, financial aid, faculty and advisors, and finance pages, or they can use the link list under the Main Menu to navigate to specific pages or links.

  • If you navigate to any of the pages using the tabs, it will go to the page in the same browser window. You can get back to the main menu by clicking the back button.
  • If you navigate to one of the upgraded pages (My Profile or Employee) using the menu links, it will open the page in a new browser tab.
  • If you're visiting an upgraded page, a four-square menu will be available in the upper left providing the same navigation options as you would have seen in the main menu.
  • Visit the  for videos and FAQs specific to navigation and menu updates.

The new four-square menu: Once all sections have transitioned to the new platform every page will have the new four-square menu, but during this transition phase some pages will have the new navigation and others will retain the current one.

When is this happening? Pending the completion of all final tests and implementations, the teams working on Â鶹´«Ã½Online upgrades anticipate these first features will roll out on June 24, 2024.

Where do I get more information? The  contains resources to guide community members through the changes. As each implementation phase approaches, we will communicate with affected users in coordination with University leadership, detailing what will be changing and when the changes will occur.
