Information on the SolarWinds data breach
The Â鶹´«Ã½ was listed as one of the clients on the SolarWinds website that has since been taken down. SolarWinds is an IT vendor that recently suffered a data breach. Other universities who are customers of SolarWinds include Harvard, St. John’s University and Clemson University.
None of the universities, including Â鶹´«Ã½, report being significantly impacted by the attack.
The Â鶹´«Ã½ System chief information technology officer said that the university is a SolarWinds customer but not within the scope of those affected by the incident. Likewise, the chief information technology officer at the Â鶹´«Ã½ at Anchorage said that university is using a version of software that doesn't appear to have been affected at this point.
