Janet Hart joins the Â鶹´«Ã½ Foundation as manager of public relations

Janet has nearly 25 years of experience in public relations, marketing, communications, fund development, and reputation management for major nonprofits. She is adept at social media management, website development and maintenance, presentation and publication development, brand management, public relations, and media relations.
Most recently, Janet was marketing manager for Alaska Commercial Company in Anchorage, where she was responsible for operational oversight and tactical implementation of marketing and public relations. Previously, she served as marketing and communications director for the City of Kings Mountain, NC, and public information officer for Cleveland County Government in NC. For 10 years, Janet served as vice president of public relations and communications for the Better Business Bureau of Southern Piedmont of NC and SC. For seven years, she was vice president of marketing and fund development for Goodwill Industries of Southern Piedmont of NC and SC.
Janet has a Master of Business Administration in marketing from Wingate University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She holds several certifications, including Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America, and Certified Festivals and Events Executive (CFEE) from the International Festivals and Events Association. She is also a member of the College of Fellows, which is one of the highest professional credentials from the Public Relations Society of America, with fewer than 500 Fellows nationwide and only two in Alaska.
