Â鶹´«Ã½ CFO position out for national recruitment

AGB Search, a national professional recruitment service, recently posted the (VP/CFO) position for the Â鶹´«Ã½ System. The VP/ CFO reports to the president and plays a key role in stewarding, growing, and creating financial sustainability to support the delivery of the university’s mission.

This position will serve as chief financial officer of the Â鶹´«Ã½ System and provide strategic direction and overall financial leadership for the university system’s fiscal operations.

The main responsibilities include advising on matters related to finance and business affairs; managing the financial condition of Â鶹´«Ã½ with an annual budget of nearly $900 million; serving as the primary spokesperson to communicate to all constituents about the financial condition and results of Â鶹´«Ã½; providing change leadership to adapt and transform the financial enterprise to support the Board’s goals and strategic objectives; and overseeing the functions of controller, risk management services, internal audit and compliance, procurement and contract service, and the Education Trust of Alaska.

The Search Committee will review application materials as received and continue until the position is filled. The deadline for submission of applications for best consideration is November 11, 2022.

As August 26, Richard Schweigert is serving as Interim Chief Finance Officer while the search for a permanent CFO is underway.
