Â鶹´«Ã½S Announces new Dean of Students Nathan Bodenstadt

After a nationwide search, Â鶹´«Ã½S has appointed  as the new Dean of Students. Nathan has been serving as our Director of Housing and Dining for Â鶹´«Ã½S, and has 10 years of professional experience on the Juneau campus. Nathan has a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Â鶹´«Ã½S and a Masters of Science degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University. Nathan is Inupiaq, and was born and raised in Fairbanks.
 
He will have oversight of the following services (regional services noted): the Â鶹´«Ã½S Health Clinic, Counseling (regional), Care Team (regional), Disability Services (regional), Recreation Center, the Native and Rural Student Center, Student Activities & Leadership, and Housing & Dining. The Dean of Students also serves as the Student Conduct Officer (regional), however as we look to fill the Director of Housing and Dining during the Fall 2022 semester, Vice Chancellor Lori Klein will serve as the Student Conduct Officer.
 
Nathan will begin his duties as the Dean of Students on September 19th.
