January Leadership Workshop
January 18, 2018 in Anchorage
The workshop will bring together the chancellors and university leadership along with key internal stakeholders to discuss our strategic goals, budget, and
priorities. The one-day workshop is being designed as an information sharing session, to discuss important issues around effective communication,
to gather ideas, input and personal perspectives, and to develop a coordinated strategy for generating broad support for the university.
Following the workshop, the expectation is that each person attending will help with outreach and education in some capacity in their home community or through their personal networks. Specifically, each attendee will do a minimum of three activities to help spread the word about the value of the Â鶹´«Ã½. The activities can range from speaking engagements to private conversations, internally to your respective Â鶹´«Ã½ communities and externally. Stephen Covey
Offers an unprecedented and eminently practical look at exactly how trust functions
in our every transaction and relationship—from the most personal to the broadest,
most indirect interaction—and how to establish trust immediately so that you and your
organization can forego the time–killing, bureaucratic check–and–balance processes
so often deployed in lieu of actual trust.
Michael Crow
Crow and coauthor William B. Dabars, examine the emergence of this set of institutions
and the imperative for the new model, the tenets of which may be adapted by colleges
and universities, both public and private.
David Grossman Through this engaging book with a simple Do/Don't format, leaders learn how better communication skills clearly translate to better leadership, allowing them to quickly transform their organization, not to mention their relationships and their lives.

Robert Kegan and Lisa Laskow Lahey
Authors Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey show how our individual beliefs--along with the

give us the keys to unlock our potential and finally move forward.

a practical resource for leaders and managers charged with making change initiatives
work.
